Alegra as rapidly absorbed by the plant through leaf cuticles (transcuticular) and moves locally (intralaminar) throughout the leaf tissue. After absorption it is metabolizes into principal fungitoxic compound, MBC (methyl benzimidazole carbamate) within the plant. It inhibits the cell division, so growth of fungus is inhibited.
